Julia Coash 2010

I took this picture of the umbrellas because i thought it looked peaceful with the one umbrella on the right while the rest were on the left lined up further away. It was not until I uploaded the image onto the computer that i noticed that the man holding the baby was there. He was originally closer to the post of the big umbrella but i moved him. I worked on the colors as well with a new layer for the curves, hue, saturation, and more.

Julia Coash 2010

This picture is my newest photo and what i did was i put sharks mouths on the edges of the petals. I lowered the opacity on all of the mouths and I put a luminescent overlay on each one of them. To work with the shadows and values on this because it was black and white i used the dodge and burn tools.

Julia Coash 2009

This picture was also part of the scavenger hunt project in the beginning of the year, so it was originally black and white. All i did to edit this photo was worked on the shadows, and cloned out a spec on the photo.

This was from my collection of pictures that i took during the scavenger hunt project. I took a vase with a rose in it into my yard and got on the floor to get an image showing the bottom side of the flower, and in photoshop i used the mosiac filter to make it look like it was a mural of some sort. I made the background a hue of green with the hue/saturation tool as well.

I took this photo during the first quarter of photography for the scavenger hunt project. In the original there was a huge hot spot that i cloned out, and i also messed with the contrast to bring out the texture on the tree branch. Other than that i just cropped it. So no big changes really.

This picture was the anthropomorphic project that was our final assignment for the first semester. What i started out with was just a picture of me on a white background. I chose one of the cartoon characters from ice age to morph myself into because in the movie his personality shows who i am like, and the animal that we chose had to be something that represented ourselves. To edit this i had to do SO much. In the final phtoshop version of this picture there are 17 layers, which include the eye color, the leaves, the ears, the fur, and much more. It took so long and I think it came out pretty good with only a few flaws that i can see.

Julia Coash 2010
I was really drawn to this image when i took it, and when i was looking at it on photoshop i decided i would only enhance the colors by fixing the levels and i think by doing that, it made all of the branches pop out a little more and it made the picture focus on the branches themselves so much more than it did.

This photo is my favorite picture i have ever taken. I did so much to edit this picture, there were so many hot spots that had to be fixed and i used the hue/saturation colorize tool on the bee itself.

Julia Coash 2010

This photo is part of my beauty vs. ugly project, using the liquify tool was the main thing that i did to edit this photo, but i also had to fix the reflections in the eyes and work with shadows all around the face.

Julia Coash 2010

This image came from 3 photographs that i took one day, and when i took them the camera was not focused but i thought that the blurriness of the photos actually enhanced the mood. I used one picture as my background that i messed with the colors on and then on top pf that image i put two other pictures that i cropped, feathered the edges of, lowered the opacity and put an overlay on.

I edited this picture by editing the colors to make the colors of the rust pop on the dumpster itself. In the original there was also a pipe on the right side of the image that i removed from the picture. Also there was a door on the right that i replaced with another row of bricks and a fire light in the back center that i put bricks in place for and i made a shadow that fit in with the other ones all around it. In the windows in the back left i added another in place of a row of bricks.
